The Nigerian Independence Day Parade is scheduled to take place on October 3rd. Street closures for the parade begin at 9:30am and the parade is from 10am-noon. Parade Route: Sheridan from Sunnyside to Foster,east on Foster to the Lake. The parade will culminate with a picnic at Foster and thelake until 8pm. See the map below from the Office of Emergency Management and Communication which includes all the locations of the Traffic Control Aides for the route. Sheridan from Sunnyside to Foster will be closed to vehicular traffic as well as Foster east of Sheridan to the lake. If you will be traveling through this area on October 3, please plan accordingly. Keep an eye out for signage restricting parking. Updates on parking restrictions will be posted on aldermanshiller.com as plans are finalized. |

Due to this year’s High Holy Days to be celebrated at Temple Sholom, there will be NO PARKING signs posted on the following streets:
The north side of Stratford from Lake Shore Drive to the front door of Temple Sholom (roughly 510 W. Stratford) and on the south side of Cornelia from the west property line to Lake Shore Drive
for the following dates & times:
- Friday, September 18th 2pm- 10pm
- Saturday, September 19th 7am- 5pm
- Sunday, September 20th 7am- 5pm
- Sunday, September 27th 2pm- 11pm
- Monday, September 28th 8am- 5pm
The appropriate signage will be posted 24 hours in advance as a reminder, but please be advised: vehicles that are not in compliance will be ticketed and towed.
