Via the Chicago Department of Health Chicago's Department of Public Health recommends that people call their health care provider first to get the vaccine. If you do not have a health care provider, or if your provider does not have the vaccine, the CDPH clinics are available. Chicagoans who are included in high priority groups defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are listed below: - Pregnant women
- Household contacts and caregivers of children younger than 6 months of age
- Health care and emergency medical service personnel
- Children and young adults ages 6 months through 24 years
- Persons aged 25-64 years who have medical conditions which put them at high risk for complications or death from influenza
