Fireworks displays will occur up and down Chicago’s 26 miles of lakefront bringing them to folks in the neighborhood.

Beginning at 9pm on Sunday, July 4th, 15 minute pyrotechnic displays will light up the sky.

Prime viewing locations:

• Downtown: Navy Pier and surrounding area.
• North Side: From Foster Thorndale to Montrose
• South Side: From 63rd Street Beach to Promontory Point

Please note: Taste of Chicago will close at 6pm on July 4th.

Kids ages 9-14! Mayor Daley’s Summer Track Program is a free, introductory track and field program.

Join the 46th Ward track team this summer and have fun training and competing against other teams throughout the City of Chicago!

The program starts Tuesday, June 22 and ends August 14.

Training will be at Chase Park with Coach Marquise Smallwood every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30pm- 6pm.
