When Helen became Alderman she:

• Opened up the Ward's first ever full-time ward service office

• Had her chief of staff carry a pager so constituents could have 24-hour access in emergencies

• Created a "one-stop" process where her office staff serves a liaison between 46th Ward constituents and all government agencies at all levels of government

• Streamlined the process for sewer rebates and condo rebates

• Instituted a number of one-of-a-kind services for Ward residents
