Alderman Shiller has an impressive track record of insurance various housing options for the community's senior citizens.  In her first term, Alderman Shiller had her ward office create a database of buildings with open apartments.  Her staff regularly contacts those buildings, and during Alderman Shiller's tenure more than 400 seniors have been placed into open housing.

In addition to that and senior housing planned for Wilson Yard, Alderman Shiller has been instrumental in getting two different senior buildings opened in the ward.
