The Neighbors Project is hosting a neighborhood party/cooking class on April 25th from 6 - 8 pm at the Inspiration Cafe, 4554 N. Broadway, Suite 207.  

As part of the Food & Liquor project, Neighbors Project is partnering with national nonprofit Share Our Strength and Chicago-based nonprofit Inspiration Corporation to host a cooking class for people living in Uptown this Spring. Class participants will learn how to cook healthy, tasty, economical recipes using fresh foods purchased at their local corner stores or liquor stores. Each participating family will get a box containing all of the ingredients that will allow them to cook the meal at home.

Inspiration Corporation has graciously offered their kitchen and kitchen staff for the event. Share Our Strength is bringing trained facilitators to teach the cooking class. Neighbors Project's role is to bring the food-purchased at local corner stores -- and the participants.
