This work will be done between 9am and 3pm; Tuesday thru Friday and 7am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Additional work will be conducted in the Fall once materials become available. Also, please be aware that the next phase of the CTA's Three-Track Operation begins March 30th and will result in more crowded trains and longer commutes for customers on the Brown Line, Purple Line Express and north branch of the Red Line. Southbound trains will be limited to one southbound track at the Belmont and Fullerton stations due to construction for the Brown Line capacity expansion project. There are more than 40 bus routes that could be used as alternate transportation, including nine lakefront express routes that provide direct service to and from the Loop during rush periods. CTA will increase bus service on several routes:

CTA will perform work at the Sheridan station between the two platforms where they will be changing out ties & plates (CTA Construction will be removing & replacing old ties and plates). This will begin approximately April 1, 2008. This work will be completed in approximately two months.
