Presented annually by Young Chicago Authors, the Louder Than a Bomb 2008 (The Eighth Annual Chicago Teen Poetry Festival), presented First Prize to the 46th Ward's own Kuumba Lynx! 

Congratulations to all 400+ young writers who participated in this year's competition, and particularly to the 2008 Kuumba Lynx slam team who will be representing Chicago this summer in the Slam Team Nationals.

Special thanks and recognition to Jaquanda Villegas and Jacinda Hall who were awarded "Coaches of the Year."
