Recycling Drop-Off This Weekend at DeVry

Saturday, April 19, 2008, from 8am to 3pm at DeVry University, 3300 N Campbell.  (Map it.Download the flier (PDF).

Residents can drop off:

  • hazardous household chemicals & paints
  • computers, cell phones, fax machines, scanners, keyboards
  • old or unused prescription & non-prescription medications
  • old gas can and/or gas-powered lawn mower
Also a chance to pick up:
  • (1) compost bin** ($30 payable by check only)
  • (1) rain barrel** ($40 payable by check only)
  • (1) free compact fl ourescent lightbulb*
  • (1) free reusable water bottle*
  • (1) free environmentally-friendly gas can
  • (when you trade in an old one)
  • $100 rebate towards an electric or push mower
  • (when you drop-off your old gas-powered mower)

FOR YEAR-ROUND DISPOSAL:
Take your household chemicals and computers to the City’s permanent Household Chemicals & Computer Recycling Facility, 1150 N. North Branch St. (two blocks east of the Kennedy Expressway at Division Street).

HOURS:
Tuesdays (7:00am - 12:00 p.m.)
Thursdays (2:00pm - 7:00pm)
The first Saturday of every month (8:00am - 3:00pm)
