The residential streets south of Irving Park Road and west of Broadway will be zoned 383 Residential Permit Parking on July 1st, 2008. The Bureau of Signs and Markings will be installing signs in the first week of June. LV2 passes will no longer be acceptable in the 383 RPP Zone and 383 RPP stickers will not be accepted in LV2 Zones.
The RPP permit, good for one year, is $25 and is available at the Chicago City Clerk’s office located at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St, Room 107. The RPP guest passes, good for one 24hr. period, are $5 for a booklet of 15, and are available both at the City Clerk’s office and at Ald. Shiller’s ward office located at 4544 N. Broadway. If this is the first time that you will purchase a 383 RPP sticker, you will not be able to purchase stickers online. As an added convenience, the City Clerk’s Office will sell City Stickers and RPP Passes at the Ward office on: June 19 and July 2 - 2pm-6pm Any time an RPP is created, a Buffer Zone is also created including the immediately surrounding streets. If you live on a Buffer Zone street, your street is not signed for permit parking. However, you may buy a permit to park in the adjacent RPP area if you choose to do so. The Buffer Zone for the 383 RPP Zone includes all streets one block east of Broadway from Irving Park Rd to Stratford Ave. If you have any questions please call Alderman Shiller’s office at 773-878-4646 or email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . |
