In an effort to help Chicago homeowners keep their homes and mitigate the impact of foreclosure on our neighborhoods, the City of Chicago has sponsored a series of Borrower Outreach Days in and around communities hardest hit by foreclosures.

These outreach events are designed to reach as many people as possible who need help and provide them with the personalized attention they need to get their mortgage back on track.

The goal of Borrower Outreach Days is to link homeowners with resources designed to help prevent the foreclosure of their home.  Services include:

  • loan workout sessions with lenders and HUD-certified couseling agencies;
  • access to free legal assistance on foreclosure issues; and
  • valuable information and assistance on homeownership preservation.
