The
largest 'green', environmental sustainability event is coming to
Chicago again for just two days! Join Andersonville Chamber and
Development Corporation staff and local businesses at Green Festival on
May 16 & 17 at Navy Pier. At Chicago Green Festival, visit the more
than 350 diverse local and national green businesses and learn from the
nearly 150 renowned panelists and speakers. Staff will be speaking at
these panels in the Community Action Center area. For more

The
recent collapse of the financial markets, the recession, and climate
change have opened many people's eyes to the problems inherent in our
current approach to business and economic growth. We need to create new
models that value our communities and the health of our natural world.
This session will discuss how the concepts of local living economies
can address the most pressing issues of our time.
