Otavala Consulting is offering a free conflict management training from 1-4pm on December 5, 2009, at the Harold Washington Library, 400 S State Street, Room 8S 14 & 15 - 8th floor.

We will offer a free workshop on conflict management for members of homeowners’ associations and property management firms. The workshop will cover basic principles of conflict management, conflict resolution, and conflict mediation. It will include case study discussions and other interactive exercises and discussions. We will review the use of TKI (Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Management Style Inventory)  in managing conflict as well as discuss the Interest-Based Relational Approach, and cover the use of psychological types for decision making in forming community boards. The workshop will be presented by Dr.Tomi Wahlström, Derek Rees, and Steve Rivera.
