Let's Paint Uptown Red!

Purpose: To raise and promote awareness of the importance of participating in the 2010 Census, which will be conducted on April 1, 2010.

Location: Uptown Area

Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2010 - All Day

How to Participate: It's easy to participate - just dig through your closet for that red shirt, pants, sweater, suit, scarf or tie and show your support for a Complete Count in Uptown

When asked why all of Uptown is wearing RED, we want everyone to share these important Census messages:

• The Census is coming - April 1, 2010.  Please MAIL IT BACK!
• The form is simple - 10 questions take 10 minutes to answer.
• It's safe to complete the Census - information cannot be shared with law enforcement, immigration, or welfare
• Local communities receive funding for local services based on Census results.
• Population determines legislative representation.
