Get free help completing the FAFSA!  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is needed to apply for college financial aid.

Tuesday evenings through March 30, 2010

5:30 - 7:30pm

To apply for the 2010-2011 school year, bring with you:

  • Social security numbers for student and parents (if applicable)
  •  Student's alien registration number (only for eligible non-citizens)
  • Birthdates and email addresses for student and parents
  • 2009 income statements (W-2s, 1099s, etc.) for student and parent, or information to help estimate 2009 earnings
  • Completed 2009 federal income tax return (IRS Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) for student and parents (if tax filers)
    • If you do not have the 2009 tax return completed by the time you file your FAFSA, you may submit with estimates using your 2008 tax return and other income
    • If you are not required to file a 2009 federal tax return, please bring any income records for 2009
  • Information on any untaxed income (i.e., child support, payments to tax-deferred accounts, worker's compensation, disability, veteran's non-education benefits, etc.)
  • Checking and savings account balances for the student and parents
  • Other asset information, including the net worth of secondary properties and other investments
  • A list of post-secondary schools the student is interested in attending.
