Via the Department of Water Management

Project: The Department of Water Management is installing 226 ft of 36-inch water main into the easternmost lane of inner Lake Shore Drive, between W. Cornelia and W. Brompton.

Reason: The Dept. of Water Management would like to improve our infrastructure at the project location by installing a new main made of a stronger material.

Timing: The main installation is anticipated to begin on Monday, March 15th with completion expected in early April. Completion of this project includes restoration. This is an estimate- sometimes there are unexpected developments in the street, or other circumstances (weather, etc.) that force us to adjust our schedules.

Traffic: Traffic will continue to flow as usual on inner Lake Shore Drive without interruption.

Parking: No Parking signs will be posted around the work area as needed, during work hours. Parking in the area is agreeable outside of work hours, but vehicles must be moved by the start of the next workday.
