Broadway Streetscape Construction Update

During the second week of the project, the following was done:

  • Drainage structures were installed on the west side of the 4400 block.
  • The catch basins, curbs, gutters and light poles were removed on the west side of the 4500 block.
  • 600 feet of sidewalk was removed on the west side of the 4500 block.

This week’s expected work includes:

  • Framing & pouring of the curb and gutter on the west side of the 4400 block.
  • Installation of the light pole foundations on the west side of the 4400 block.
  • Pipe setting for the electrical conduits on the west side of the 4400 block.
  • Drainage structure installation on the west side of the 4500 block. Framing for curb & gutter on the west side of 4500 block.
  • Fire hydrant relocations (2) on the east side of Broadway.

Please keep in mind that work will be done on the west side of Broadway between Wilson and Montrose first. During this time, parking is restricted on the west side, but remains open on the east side. Parking is permitted, in the absence of construction equipment, in the evenings and on the weekends.
